America Part 2 -- Messes are Bigger in Texas!

We finally made it to the water park! We went to Castaway Cove with Shelby and Aunt Shannon and were so excited....until we realized Katie was scared to death of everything in the Kiddie Area. She preferred to float along in the lazy river and bounce along in the wave pool. I couldn't believe she didn't want anything to do with this:

We had already signed up to go again a few weeks later for Uncle Jack's company picnic and I was a little worried Katie wouldn't have a good time, but after a trip to Florida (which will be on the blog soon...) and playing in the Gulf and another smaller kiddie water park she was ready! Yesterday was the picnic and Katie went nuts! She was even going down the water slides head first! Sadly, I forgot to bring the camera with us on the second trip so there are no great slide shots.
Another thing Katie loves about being here is.....

Chuck E. Cheese!

We have been to Chuck E. Cheese's twice since we arrived and Katie can't get enough! She loves to put coins in the games, and we have to make sure she waits until it's over before putting another coin in. I think we lost a handful of coins before realizing that!

Katie's favorite game of all was the telephone where she could call Chuck E. Cheese himself. She made quite a few phone calls while we were there!

And now we get to the messes....

So, there we were-

Gathered in the kitchen of my parents' house gabbing about who knows what.

When I realize that Katie hasn't made a sound in a few minutes.

I get up suspiciously and start the hunt.

Clue #1: Red footprints on the carpet.

Suspect: One Katie Cichowski covered in an entire tube of lipstick!

I was actually kind of amazed that she used a whole tube of lipstick and didn't put any of it on her lips! Katie was put directly into the tub which, after a little scrubbing, was soon full of pink bubbles. We also found that hairspray will help remove lipstick from your carpet....just FYI for all of our friends who may have this to look forward to in their future!
